About Us
We know personal recovery, having unique stories of addiction as adolescents and young adults. We know this relationship from the other side as parents, professionals, family members and friends of people struggling with substance abuse. We have walked through the “related life issues” before and after.
Many people have very successful experiences within the structure of the treatment setting but have struggled to generalize these new tools during transition into a change of environment. Aftercare support and monitoring can provide the bridge that has been missing within the resources available for successful transition. At SGS we believe in our client’s ability to be successful. We offer a structure and accountability partnership to hold clients in successful behaviors until these become healthy habits for success.
An area of interest is partnering with adolescents and young adults and their families. We understand the impact of addiction during this dynamic life stage. There is a natural zeal for living and interest in exploration, characteristic of this life stage. These same strengths can be a challenge to manage during the process of learning to apply new skills associated with recovery from addiction. Deliberate transition planning is a key element of a stable and predictable return to appropriate life experiences. At SGS we stand ready to partner for success, utilizing our diverse experience and creativity we offer a portable support system and structure for accountability. We are confident that we can help to improve the odds of successful outcomes following substance abuse treatment.
Monitoring services can consist of some or all of the following services:
- Tracking, documentation and communication between the client and identified individuals as outlined in the monitoring agreement.
- Arrangement of a schedule and provision of services for UADS on a regular and random basis.
- Receipt of these test results and reporting to identified individuals according to the terms of the schedule agreement.
- Monitoring can include distribution and completion of documentation for use with Twelve Step meeting attendance, work, school, community service or other activities outlined in the agreement.
- Other activities as agreed by Client and SGS
